Our Story

Splendid Interiors was founded by Roberto and Esther Contreras, a husband and wife team whose story spans across countries, cultures, and a lifetime of hard work.

Roberto, originally from Panama, started out as a young entrepreneur with his own handcrafted furniture business. When he immigrated to the United States, he carried that same spirit with him, building a long career in sales through honesty, warmth, and genuine connection. Even now, in his 70s, Roberto shows up every single day with the same drive he’s had his whole life, always pushing forward, staying curious, and refusing to slow down. It’s simply who he is.

Esther, born in Cuba, spent many years working in corporate America, but her heart always gravitated toward interior design and the feeling of a space that truly welcomes you in. Her eye for elegance and comfort has shaped the way Splendid Interiors approaches every project.

Together, Roberto and Esther took a leap of faith and in 2018 created Splendid Interiors, a small family run business built on passion, integrity, and the belief that a home should feel special.

What began as a dream between the two of them has grown into a true family endeavor, now with three of their children working by their side. Family is at the center of everything they do. They believe a home is more than a place to live. It’s where family gathers, memories are made, and life unfolds.
